EDUCATION:

As of July, 2004 I will have acquired a Bachelor of Science degree from Shepherd University, Shepherdstown, WV. The degree is in the field of Business Administration, accompanied by a minor in Economics. My enrollment at this institution began January of 2001. Prior to my studies at Shepherd University I also attended Eastern Michigan University from 1999 – 2001.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Administrative Director, The Shepherd College Picket, WV. (fall 2000 – summer 2004): I Took on positions normally delegated to two people at our campus’ own student news publication. As Business Manager I was responsible for such issues as procurement of supplies, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, processing employee payroll paperwork for new hires, budget compilation and analysis as well as financial record keeping. As Advertising Director my duties included soliciting potential advertisers, keeping ongoing and up to date accounts with clients, coordinating ad rates and schedules, keeping track of ad revenue and staying on top of payment for advertisements run in the publication.

Business Manager, http://www.hudsonfla.com and all affiliated subsidiaries. (winter 2003 – present) Hudsonfla.com is a website, created by myself and some associates, that is devoted to bringing information on local events, history, and area commerce to the citizens of Pasco County, Florida and the surrounding areas. The website, created in January of 2003 has already surpassed 55,000 hits and was recognized by the St. Petersburg Times as well as the local board of commerce as the official community website. My responsibilities include but are not limited to creative input towards future development, solicitation of potential advertisers and investors, as well as the oversight of most financial issues.

Property Assistant, Trammel Crow, Inc., Bethesda, Maryland and Washington, DC. (spring – fall 2003): Assisted with organization and upkeep of information relating to several commercial real estate properties for a team of D.C. area property managers. I participated in job site inspections, as well as the intendance of various work crews at company owned buildings. Handled potential clients and vendors, supervised work crews, organized service contracts, processed accounts payable and was entrusted with countless other administrative duties.

Operations Manager, Little Beaver Landscaping, Ypsilanti, Michigan (2000 – 2001): Managed and supervised daily operations and work crews of up to five people. I played an instrumental role in developing marketing strategies for the company. I was entrusted with a position of authority that put me in charge of the dispensation and operation of capital assets at the jobsite. I answered phones, dealt with customers, scheduled appointments, estimated price quotes on prospective jobs and assisted in the development of the small landscaping business through the application of prior experience.

Office Assistant, Taurus Properties, Bloomfield Hills (1998 – 2000): This internship position gave me my first opportunity to experience the business world first hand I was responsible for customer relations, and the addressing of their questions and concerns. This enhanced my technical skills, operational experience, and customer service skills. I answered phones, dispatched maintenance crews, verified invoices, job-site inspections and dealt with tenant issues.
